Retro Sounds for exp gain and level up

When I gain exp or level up in real life there are no damn cash register sounds or an epic snare drum playing!

Now your Pip-Boy is telling you when you gain exp and level up with some sweet ‘retro’ sounds!

This is a mod that replaces the sound when you take out your Fat Man, you scream YOU SHALL NOT PASS!! so your enemies know that you aren’t f*ckin around.

This is my very first sound replacer mod that i have ever made so i hope i did this right, i made this mod as a kind of test to see if i am doing everything the right way because i have plans for more sound mods. don’t be a d*ck if i screwed it up tell me what i did wrong so i can learn from my mistake, this mod works for me so i need to know what to do so others can use this mod too if it doesn’t work for them.

Install with nexus mod manager and then tick it off the plugins list.

go into /documents/ my games/ fallout4/ fallout4/ open it with notepad and under the [Archive] section make sure that your “ResourceDataDirsFinal” reads like this =STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\

Silent Supersledge Idle

Extremely simple, I love the supersledge and the shock mod but couldn’t stand the idle sound constantly pulsing so this basically lowers the idle sound of the supersledge when it’s modded to have the fire or shock add-ons to near inaudible (Depending on your in-game audio settings).

Fus Ro Dah – Power Fist SFX

this is just a simple sound replacement for equipping power fist and attacking with the power fist.
To install this mod (without NMM), download the file, extract the file and put the data file into the Fallout 4 main folder.

KG’s Weapon Sound Replacement

About

This mod aims to create a new feel to the game by replacing the existing weapon sounds. It’s not meant to be better than the original, just something different.

Installation

1. Use the Mod manager to install, or drag the folder to the game data folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data)
2. In the fallout4.ini file, under Archive, add SOUND\ to sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, to create sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, SOUND\
3. Play!

You can toggle between vanilla sounds and the modded sounds by removing the weapon folder from the WPN folder that’s within this mod.

Notes

This is a work in progress. More sounds will be added in due course, when I have free time to make them.

Also, as the creation kit haven’t been released yet, I am limited to semi-auto and single-fire sounds. Due to how the sounds were implemented in the game, I cannot create a seamless automatic sound that doesn’t have any breaks or stutters (for lack of a better word). I want the sounds to be immersive and I don’t feel like releasing poor sounds would do this.

I remembered Skyrim feeling pretty epic. Every sound had a weight to it, from the game’s score all the way down to it’s level up sound. I was walking through the wastes and the cash register sound effects every time you gain EXP and that little drummer boy level up sound just felt so weak to me and didn’t do the game justice. So I came up with this mod to fill that void and to make all the sound effects pretty thematic.

This mod aims to replace some of the more abundant in-game sounds with some loud percussion. Currently it replaces:
Leveling Up – Drum & Fanfare
Speech Checks – Taiko Drums
New Locations – Taiko Hits
Experience – Tambourine Hit

There are a few different leveling up SFX so I’ve included them for you to pick between, listed below. They only affect the leveling SFX. You can watch the video above to find out the difference between versions.

DRUMS – DEFAULT
Default version, no choir buildup or choir (preferred).

DRUMS – with CHOIR
Includes a choir buildup prior to the drop.

DRUMS – with CHOIRPLUS
Includes a choir buildup and choir after the drop.

I personally use the “Drums – Default” as I feel it fits in better with the game.

In the future I’ll be adding sound effects for some of the more abundant pip-boy effects like Idiot Savant. I also have a ton of other sound effects and I’ll be packing the whole thing up into a FOMOD soon so you can pick and choose which sound effects you want and which ones you want silent or left default.

If the mod isn’t loud enough, make sure that the “EpicDrums.esp” is checked in your load order.

Reccomendation:
Install totally silent Dogmeat and then this mod (Chewbacca SFX for Dogmeat) if you only want to hear Wookie related audio coming from Dogmeat.

There is a “Laugh it up, fuzzball” version in this update (0.15) that only add’s in only Chewie’s laugh.

This is my first mod for Fallout 4, criticize and comment.
Future Updates…
Hopefully I will get around to cleaning up some of the audio files and maybe changing their volumes as well as using shorter clips in some of the idles and longer clips in others. For now just gonna keep adding new Chewbacca sounds to Dogmeat files until I have replaced them all, not at any particular pace though I just do this as a hobby.

Silent Sandman (No Mister Sandman Sound) Mr Mr.

[Mod request] Removes the cartoony sound when executing a Mr. Sandman kill.

Process: Okay. So I found the files (there are actually four of them). The thing is all the sound effects (unsheath, music, and slash) don’t have
their own separate sound file. They are all played from 1 sound file. (Damit Bethesda!) So I couldn’t just replace a sound file with an empty one. I had to create a brand new one. I salvaged the unsheath sound from the original but since the music and slash play at the same time, I had to replace the slash
sound with another sound to not get that “zing!”. I found a sound similar in Fallout 4 and I edited it in Audacity to sound closer to the original.

Deeper Voice For Cait

As requested. Not a fan of deeper female voices, myself, but at least in the case of Cait, it arguably makes a little sense. (But I’ll stick with Higher Voice For Cait.)

Higher Voice For Cait is here.
Female protagonist voice mods: Higher, deeper.
Male protagonist voice mods: Deeper, higher.
Other companion voice mods: Curie, Piper, Strong, Preston, X6-88.
Other voice mods: Female children, Super Mutants.
Other audio mods: IMPACTFUL NUKES.

Voice Types:

Voice Type A1: 2.8% lower.

Voice Type A2: 5.6% lower.

Voice Type A3: 8.3% lower.

Voice Type A4: 10.9% lower.

Voice Type A5: 13.4% lower.

Installation (as of 2016-01-18):

1. Follow the Fallout 4 Mod Installation guide to learn the latest method for setting up custom mods.

2. Add the name of the esp file of your chosen voice type (for example: “Higher Female Protagonist Voice (Japanese) – Type A4.esp”) to the plugins.txt file, which is typically located in C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Local\Fallout4.

3. Extract the contents of the archive to your Fallout4\Data\ directory.

NOTE: Beta patch 1.3 (and presumably official patches going forward) eliminates support for .bsa archives, unannounced and for no good reason. If/when you decide to patch your Fallout 4, it will be necessary to use the Bethesda Archive Extractor utility to extract the contents of this mod’s .bsa archive to your Data directory. Alternately, if Mod Organizer ever gets around to adding support for Fallout 4, a better solution will be to make use of said app.

Uninstall:

1. Remove the archive’s extracted contents from your Fallout4\Data\ directory.

2. Remove the name of the esp file from your plugins.txt file.

The Forty Fours Roar

As a private modder I felt I should start sharing some of my creations of this game, as I have previously in Skyrim.
And thus, I present this mod. A simple replacer for the .44 pistol’s firing sound, as I felt it was quite needed, and no other mod did it justice.

This mod utilizes a realistic sounding, processed, Double Action .38 Special Smith & Wesson 642; sound recording in a private range.

Intense Realistic Gun Sounds Overhaul

Derived from my previous mod, this overhaul replaces ALL gun sounds. So far replacement consists of all bullet-based weapons, and plasma/laser weapons will be completed very soon. (Already have half of them ready) So stay tuned for updates for the laser and plasma weaponry sounds!

These gun sounds are heavily inspired by this set of mods for a different game. I felt no other mod came close to what this intense realism brought to the game it had the mods for (Insurgency) so I felt I should bring that same feeling of realism and firefights into Fallout 4.

Fallout 4 Footsteps Redone

This mod is a follow up from my fallout new vegas sound mod (Fallout nv footsteps redone) and it didn’t see too much action but now it is back and its currently the only FX mod that replaces most of the footsteps.

In the vanilla the footsteps cycled only through three different footstep BUT now it cycles through not two not three but 18 different types of footstep to bring even more immersion to the game

-Features-
*18 footstep sounds for each terrain type
*Edited power armor sound (only dirt)
*Added custom sounds like pants and backpack sounds when walking (Its in the normal terrain footsteps)

Please let me know if there’s a bug and feel free to endorse
